Joey has been adopted by one of our volunteers! He is now living a wonderful life near Lake Tahoe and gets to play with his many friends at the soccer field too. His new favorite hobby is searching for Lizards! His mom and dad adore him and they say, “what nature did not give Joey in paw, he definitely made up for in personality!”

Congrats, Joey!

Hi! I have had Weims for 24 years. We just lost our Boris. He was 118lbs. He swam everyday and was my, our everything. His Dr. Loved him said he was the biggest strongest dog he ever saw. He was 2 weeks shy of his 12th birthday when he passed. We tried to save him. We have so much love but we also have a conure bird like 16years old, Boris didn’t have interest. Our first We adopted at 9 Mos old. Bailey he also lived to 12 yrs old he didn’t like the water. If you think we’d be a match pls call me. I don’t do e mails. I am sorry. Old school. Lol

Hithere. Thank you for giving us the information! You will need to submit an application, found on the adoption page, for any of our dogs. This helps us determine what the best fit is and we will reach out.

Me and my wife used to have a yellow lab with this same condition. It’s funny cause our boys name was Joe aka Three toed Joe. He was amazing and his leg never slowed him down. He absolutely loved playing fetch and going on hikes. My wife had rescued him from being put down at a local vet she worked at. That dog was so full of life.
