BECOME A RESCUE VOLUNTEER
We could not accomplish as much as we do without a group of dedicated
volunteers. We can always use more helping hands in the following areas:
PROVIDE A FOSTER HOME
We are always in need of foster homes. These foster homes provide a place for a
Weimaraner until a permanent home can be found. Sometimes, this is only for a
few days. Other times, it could be several months. The foster home provides a
means to evaluate the dog and to give security and love. We also occasionally have
dogs that are recuperating from vet care. If you would like to open up your home to
one of our rescue dogs, please contact: norcalweimrescue@yahoo.com.
WE UNDERSTAND that you may not be in a position to foster a dog but still may
want to assist. There are still lots of things you can do to volunteer such as:
• Transportation
• Evaluating dogs
• Home inspections
• Answering inquiries
• Take photo of dog
• Shelter check
• Training
• Behavior problem solving
• Public Relations – Bring your Weim out to help man the NCWR booth.
Answer questions about Weims & assist in the set up/tear down of the booth.
• Computer work – data entry, forms review/creation
• Event planning – Lead a NCWR event or help the event leader
• Newsletter Editor
• Adoption Follow-up
• Fundraising
If you would like to volunteer, please contact: norcalweimrescue@yahoo.com
